Duality of Thevenin and Norton theorem

Duality of Thevenin and Norton theorem In electrical network analysis system, electrical terms are associated into pairs called duals. So,hereby you should know the relationship in between Thevenin's and Norton theorem. As we know that; Thevenin’s theorem simplifies calculations and explanations of complex circuit operations. Norton’s theorem also simplifies complex circuits.  In both of the theorem the ultimate objective is to simplify complex circuit. But, observe the twist: to find the Norton current we have to place a direct wire connection between the open load resistance points or directly shorted it and determine the resultant current, this step is exactly opposite the respective step in Thevenin’s Theorem, where we replaced the load resistor with a break (open circuit). The current through a component or voltage across the element present in the branch network is determined using Norton and Thevenin's theorem respectively. So ,we can say that they both are...

What is drift current?

Drift current is the electric current, or movement of charge carriers, which is due to an electric field applied to a circuit, or may be considered as due to a electromotive force over a certain distance. When an electric field that is a potential difference applied across a semiconductor material, the drift current is produced due to flow of charge carriers. The drift velocity is the average velocity of the charge carriers present in the drift current. If an electric field is applied to an electron (−) existing in a free space, it will accelerate the electron in a straight line from the negative(−) terminal to the positive terminal(+) of the applied voltage source. But the same thing does not happen in the case of electrons available in good conductors ,that is in metals like copper, aluminium etc. Because good conductors have huge numbers of free electrons moving randomly & this random movement of electrons will drift according to the direction of applied elec...
Electrical Power Substation Engineering and Layout Electrical Substation Step Up Substation Step Down Substation Primary Step Down Substation Secondary Step Down Substation Distribution Substation Bulk Supply or Industrial Substation Mining Substation Mobile Substation Outdoor Type Substation Indoor Substation Underground Substation Pole Mounted Substation Electrical Substation Now days the   electrical power   demand is increasing very rapidly. For fulfilling these huge power demands the modern time requires creation of bigger and bigger power generating stations. These power generating stations may be hydro – electric, thermal or atomic. Depending upon the availability of resources these stations are constructed different places. These places may not be nearer to load centers where the actual consumption of power takes place. So it is necessary to transmit these huge power blocks from generating station to their load centers. Long and high   voltage   tran...
Types of Electrical Insulator | Overhead Insulator Pin Insulator Designing Consideration of Electrical Insulator Post Insulator Suspension Insulator Advantages of Suspension Insulator Disadvantages of Suspension Insulator Strain Insulator Stay Insulator Shackle Insulator or Spool Insulator There are mainly three   types of insulator   used as   overhead insulator   likewise 1.   Pin Insulator 2.   Suspension Insulator 3.   Strain Insulator In addition to that there are other two   types of electrical insulator   available mainly for low   voltage   application, e.i.   Stay Insulator   and   Shackle Insulator . Pin Insulator Pin Insulator   is earliest developed   overhead insulator , but still popularly used in power network up to 33KV system. Pin type insulator can be one part, two parts or three parts type, depending upon application voltage. In 11KV system we generally use one part type insula...
